RESEARCH EXPERIENCE (Last 10 years)   2012-present Adjunct scientist of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) working at the Univ. Nac. del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina to investigate the risk factors for leptospirosis in marginal coastal communities of the Paraná River.   2011-2012 Post-doctoral fellow for the CONICET at the Univ. Nac. del Litoral, to study the impact of cattle on the prevalence of zoonoses in the islands of the Paraná River.   2009-2011 Post-doctoral associate at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies (New York state, USA), working with Dr. Richard Ostfeld to investigate the differences in reservoir competence of vertebrate hosts of the Lyme disease bacteria in temperate deciduous forests of North-Eastern U.S.   2007-2009 Post-doctoral fellow at the University of Utah, working with Denise Dearing to study the effects of anthropogenic disturbance and climate on the prevalence of Sin Nombre hantavirus on deer mice populations in the Great Basin Desert, Utah, USA.   2003-2006 Research assistant for a project directed by Peter Meserve (NIU) and Douglas Kelt (University of California, Davis) assisting with statistical analyses, data modeling, and publications of the long-term ecological data on small mammal community of semiarid Chile.
