Awards

It is very important for us at SAREM to give due recognition to the work done by our members as researchers in the field of mammalogy, as well as training new mammalogists, and working for the benefit of society in general. For this purpose, seven awards have been established: the SAREM, Autino, Cabrera, Massoia, Kravetz, Reig, and Jornadas Argentinas de Mastozoología (JAM) Awards.

It is important to highlight that the members of the Directive Board and those of the Awards Committee of SAREM will not be eligible for these awards while being in office (there is only one exception, see Ángel Cabrera Award). All documents required will be submitted to the Awards Committee. Applications that are received incomplete within the time limit set will not be taken into account. The decisions taken by the Awards Committee cannot be appealed. If the applicants do not meet the requirements established, the different awards might be declared void.

Except for SAREM and Cabrera Awards, every applicant can opt for up to two applications per year.

Applications will be assessed by the Awards Committee. Applicants should send an e-mail to the coordinator Soledad de Bustos. Applications for the SAREM Prize should be sent directly to the Secretary of our Directive Board, María Cecilia Ezquiaga.
